Aracely
For Aracely, the most important thing is the love for the land and the love for coffee. Her life reflects just that, "Without love, nothing works,” says Aracely.
Inspired by her in-laws and her husband, she began her life as a coffee farmer five years ago, shifting focus two years ago to specialty when she began to experiment with fermentation processes. She chose coffee because it offers her family many sources of income, making it her family's best way to improve their livelihood.
In the beginning, Aracely was very fearful and did not take many risks with the new processes, as she thought that she could waste what she had harvested, while her husband experimented with large quantities of coffee. After trying different methods and learning together, both have been able to form a great team, as she says that during the coffee process it is very important to listen to different points of view.
For her, coffee has given them the opportunity to have a more united family. She dreams of continuing to grow coffee and that this will allow her to buy her own house.
